Obituary of Dorothy Ann Wolf

Dorothy Ann Wolf, age 91, of Media, PA, formerly of Broomall, PA, died peacefully at home, Thursday, October 1, 2015, after a seven year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Dot was born and raised in New Rochelle, NY, to the late Rose and Vincent Tirana, on October 14, 1923, and was a 1942 graduate of A. B. Davis High School. Dot enrolled as a nursing cadet at Mount Vernon Hospital, and was accredited by the University of the State of New York, in 1946. Dot met her beloved husband Clifford, of 52 years, at a USO Dance, and several weeks later were married on Christmas Eve, 1944. Dot had a passion for traveling with her husband, England, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Hawaii, China, Australia, and of course just about every state here at home. Dot retired as a nurse after 20 years of service in the pediatric division of Grassland Hospital, Valhalla, NY. In 1993, they moved to Broomall, PA, to be closer to their grandchildren. Dot was the wife of the late Clifford L. Wolf, Sr. Survivors: Son: Clifford (Elizabeth) L. Wolf of Media, PA Grandchildren: Craig (Michele) Wolf of Atco, NJ, Heather (Perry) Sweigart of Parkside, PA, and Kevin Wolf of Media, PA Great Grandchildren: Samantha, Allison, Katelyn Wolf, Nathaniel and Brighid Sweigart Dot's family is grateful to Bayada Hospice of Media, PA, for their compassion and care during her last days surrounded by her loving family.
