Obituary of William Carder, Jr.

William Carder, Jr., age 99, of Media, PA, formerly of Springfield, PA, died Monday, February 15, 2016, at Riddle Village, Media, PA. Mr. Carder was born and raised in Grafton, WV. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and continued serving in the U. S. Army Reserves, retiring as a Colonel. William worked his way up at the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and then for CSX Railroad, as a District Manager, for 37years. Mr. Carder was a member of Lima United Methodist Church, Lima, PA, and was devoted to his home and family. He and his late wife Mary enjoyed square dancing with many local clubs for 27 years. He was the husband of the late Mary Hoffman Carder Survivors: Daughter: Nancy Carder of Terre Haute,, IN Son: William (Kathy) W.
