Obituary of Marjorie C. Payne

1924-2016 Marjorie C. Payne (née Cornell) of Media, PA, passed away on March 28, 2016. Born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania on December 6, 1924, she was a highly regarded registered nurse, having graduated from Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing. She used her brilliant nursing talents not only during her tenure as a surgical nurse to the Chief of Surgery at Episcopal Hospital, but also by providing advice and guidance to numerous relatives, friends, and acquaintances with respect to their medical issues, ensuring all received the very best of care. She was a gifted volunteer for The Brandywine River Museum, helping to bring the Museum's Christmas critter ornaments to life each year. She also was a long-standing member of the Resurrection Episcopal Church, Rockdale (formerly Calvary Episcopal Church), in Aston, PA. Her quick wit and storytelling were loved by all. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, T. Charles Payne of Allentown, and her beloved mother Hazel Clark Cornell, and her father, Burton. She was a cherished aunt, cousin, godmother, and friend.
