Obituary of Pamela Bonkowski

Pamela Yorden Bonkowski of Brookhaven, PA, went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2016, surrounded by her family. Born in San Diego, CA, Pamela was a near lifelong resident of Brookhaven, PA. She graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1965 and was recognized for her typing and shorthand skills. Pamela was a long-term employee at State Farm Insurance, retiring after more than 20 years, with the title Executive Administrative Assistant. The daughter of a Pearl Harbor Survivor, she had the privilege of traveling with her father (prior to his passing) and sister to Hawaii for many PHSA reunions as well as the USS Ralph Talbot DD390 reunions held around the country. Whether traveling or at home, she enjoyed playing cards and games with numerous groups of dear friends. She attended many different bible study groups over the years, the State Farm Retirees’ monthly luncheons and many Sun Valley Class of 1965 reunions and luncheons. Daughter of the late Stephen P. and Rosella L.
