Obituary of Dorothy S. Rodgers

Dorothy S. (Dolan) Rodgers, "dotti" age 63, of Brookhaven died peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Sunday, August 14, 2011 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Dotti graduated West Chester University with her Bachelor's degree in Education and completed her Masters degree from Villanova University. Mrs. Rodgers was employed through the Southeast Delco School District for 35 years. Mrs. Rodgers was a 5th grade teacher at Delcroft Elementary before becoming the Librarian. Dotti was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Charity Church, Brookhaven, PA. She was the past president and an active member of the Brookhaven Women's Club. Dottie enjoyed baking for the holidays, needlepoint, cross-stitching and her three dogs. Most of all, she cherished her home and spending time with her sons and most recently her grandsons. She is the daughter of the late John C. and Frances (Hartman) Dolan. Husband: George G. Rodgers, Sr. 3 SONS: George G. Jr. of Brigantine, NJ, Christopher B. (Heather Chism-Rodgers) of Brookhaven, PA and Ryan M. of Brookhaven, PA. 2 GRANDSONS: Tyler and Nolan Rodgers. SISTERS: Mimi Dolan-Leinbach of Reading, PA and Jackie Dolan-Lichtner of Honeybrook, PA.
