Condolences
I talked to Marge when Steven passed. Steven and Marge were like cousins to my sister Carol and I was grew up with them and our parents. We did many camping trips and visits, baseball game etc. with them. He is very missed and I didnt have much contact with him recently before his passing.. Though I will always be grateful he contacted me by phone few months before he passed. Steven said he wanted to visit CA. I wish it had happened. I know this very late. Steven was a great guy and a good friend. I am California or, I would have stayed in touch still wish I did. Miss you my cousin
Steve was a 35 year member of our hunting club in Sweet Valley, Pa and an "adopted" Uncle of mine. He loved hunting the back country on top of our mountain and enjoyed the companionship of our club members. He was a kind and gentle soul with an immense love for animals. I will remember him always when the November winds blow and the sound of a whitetail walking in the leaves comes to my ears.... sincere condolences from the Austin family and the Stronghold Gun Club.

Heaven gained an angel . There will be many happy dogs.
I’ve spent 100’s of hours fishing with Steve on the North Branch. While he loved fishing for Smallmouth, his family was front and center. His love for his nieces and sharing the outdoors with them was so important. He included many of them in our trips.
We use to call the end of our week “Friday Eves with Steve”. We would grill burgers or a steak on the grill here at Endless Mountain Campground and then spend the rest of the evening fishing for bass. Always ended with a desert, his sweet tooth was as important.
Steve was kind to my family. Never missed an opportunity to visit here when my daughter or wife were coming. Played with my grandson and was ALWAYS a joy. He will be missed.
We always enjoyed having Steve along on the bear den visits. My sincere condolences to his family.
Steve always had a way of making everyone feel special. He was part of our family maybe not by blood but heartfelt love. His kindness to our family will never be forgotten. His kindness extended to my husband and I and our children who he was so good too. He also loved our 2 puppies and always snuck them a treat every time he saw them. Our hearts are broken and our love for him continues on. Heaven definitely gained an angel. Condolences to all who loved him
I worked with Steve for many years, he was a good, kind-hearted man . . . one who will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family. ~ Barb Kline

My heartfelt condolences to his family(s) both blood and extended..
Heaven truly gained a 'real' Angel. Steve was a hard worker, caring deeply for all God's creatures, he was always there to lend to a hand to anyone that needed it and above all, he was a good listener! A true friend, indeed.
I worked with Steve while I was with two separate agencies for many years, (retiring only a year apart) I always knew he could be counted on when I would call him at any hour - day or night and he was always there, ready, willing and able to be dispatched both near and far, never hesitating, never refusing.
He will be missed by all those that really knew him, both as a co-worker and a friend... RIP Steve, you deserve it.
I count myself a lucky man to have known and worked with Steve. I saw my first black bears in the woods when surveying Game Lands with Steve, John Orlandini and Dave Kohler. He loved the outdoors and all that Mother Nature has to offer. May he rest in peace. Never heard an unkind word from this true gentleman who had a real soft spot in his heart for Man's Best Friend. Our condolences to his family and may God's peace be with them and help them to cherish his memory always.
