We will never forget all the good times we have spent with Shirley and Earl at their home in Maryland, on Aston Lions trips, and many other occasions. We know she will not be forgotten. Condolences to Earl and her family. Although they have been away from our area the last few years Shirley and Earl have not been forgotten. Ginny and Bob Hoyt
Tari, Wendy and Janine send all our love and gratitude for the family of Shirley Parris. Janine and David came into the world surrounded by the love of "Aunt Shirley and Uncle Earl". Wendy remembers "Aunt Shirley's laugh and smile" and Tari cherishes memories of her friendship. A letter to the family was mailed yesterday to the funeral home.
So Sorry to hear of your loss s She sending prayers and healing thoughts for everyone. She was a great friend
I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of your mom. When i would go to her home to clean we always got carried away in conversation. She and your dad were good friends to my mom and dad. They spent many days together on Lions Club trips and just gathering for fun. Praying for your peace as your celebrate her wonderful life!
I am very sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of your Mom and all of the Christmas time dinners from growing up. She was such a kind hearted and sweet person who will truly be missed. Sending lots of hugs and prayers to you and your family at this difficult time. Love, Tara
Shirley was a sweetheart! I thoroughly enjoyed having her on our neighborhood. I loved it when i could see that little twinkle in her eyes as I was talking to her. It gives me joy to know that she is at Home. Wendy, Cheryl, and the whole family…you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Wendy, I remember many dinners at your home on JFK and days playing family in your basement. We were both going to dye our hair blonde when we grew up and smoke cigarettes for a year, then quit so we wouldn’t get cancer. Your mother was always so nice. I was always envious of your plaid winter coat and hat that you had in elementary school. I am glad that your parents were able to see all of you and so may of their grandchildren grow up. I drove onto JFK two days ago to remember the house. Happy memories. Your family was blessed. Your parents even got to see David grow up. You had a good mother. Thinking of you all, Wendy, Sandy, Cheryl, Donna, and David. Happy memories.
Cheryl, Wendy and families, I was sorry to hear of Shirley passing. She was one of the original residents I got to know when I began working at Phoebe. I have fond memories of her over the past few years; our little conversations, helping her with activities and sometimes just holding her hand. One of my favorite memories was her motorcycle day. I came upon her sitting in the hallway, behind someone in another wheelchair. She was leaning forward and holding onto the handlebars of the other wheelchair, her head was tilted back, giving her a windblown look, like she was riding down the road with out a care in the world!
My condolences to the whole family, she will be missed.
