Obituary of Harvey C. Grider

Harvey C. Grider, age 71, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, formerly of Washington, D.C., died on Monday, May 27, 2024 at Cooper University Hospital, Camden, NJ.   Harvey was born on September 11, 1952, in Ivyland, PA.  He received his Bachelors of Science Degree with Honors from Temple University.  Harvey worked for the Chief Administrative Officer in one of the support offices at the House of Representatives as a Resource Coordinator in Washington D.C.  For the last 10 years, Harvey volunteered three to five days a week with Meals on Wheels.  He would make holidays special for the families by delivering an extra treat.

As a youth, Harvey played the violin.  He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, but had a special passion for the Washington Redskins.  Harvey was a history buff and enjoyed trivia. He loved to travel, but most of all, Harvey cherished his friendships and spending time together.

Son of the late Harry B. and Mary E. Grider, Sr., Brother of the late Harry B. Grider, Jr.

Survivors: Loving cousins and many loyal and close, caring friends.

Visitation: Saturday, June 8^th  after 9:30AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Saturday, June 8^th  at 10:30AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery.
