Brother Jim,
You were a mentor, friend and Brother..... You taught me so much and I will never forget all you taught me..... I am a better man because of you!
Your love of God and our craft is an inspiration to Freemasons everywhere....
God bless you Brother!
Bro. Jim was a gentle soul who always had a way of making others feel welcomed and appreciated. His undying love for the fraternity was unparalleled. The emptiness cast upon our world through his passing leaves a shadow of sadness that moans to see him again. Jim’s knocks upon heaven’s preparing room door will be answered with open arms by our father in heaven for a job well done. God Speed my Brother and someday I hope to rise to greet you again.
When someone asks what it is to be a Mason I will tell them about Jim. IF they want advice about be a family man I will tell them about Jim. I will miss him dearly. He was a mentor and my friend.
You have impacted all of us from Third Age in so many ways. I considered you a mentor and a friend. You were kind and thoughtful, with a fun-loving zest for life and endless time and energy for those that you cherished most. Your wisdom and character are traits that I hope to continue learning from...your spirit will always be a part of us, Jim.
Many, many folks will miss you, Brother Jim. I will always cherish our time together in Wayfarers, the Academy, and our two Lodges. You have been a friend, a Brother, and an inspiration to me. Farewell, my Brother.
Tracy shared many stories about her dad with me. Loved hearing about his generous work with charities and his love of long road trips. He obviuosly led a passionate life and loved his family, wife and community very much. Godspeed.
Jim you will be missed by many. You are a proud son of the Lord. Home from your earthly journey. Safe for eternity, All that the Savior promised- That is what heaven will be.
I will remember Jim in many special ways. Certainly Jim will be remembered by many for his long tenured, intelligent, gifted service and leadership at Middletown Presbyterian Church. He loved the Lord and professed Him as his Lord and Savior. I will remember him also as being devoted to his family and there was a certain spark in his eye when he talked about Nancy. He lovingly and unabashedly called her "my bride" in the presence of others; frequently and publicly thanked and praised her for her role in his accomplishments.
For these things, and for many others, the Lord can say: Well done, good and faithful servant!
I light this candle on behalf of my friends Tracy and Danny Mason to send prayers and sympathies to their families during this difficult time.
I have good memories of Mr Standish All the MARTIN's do.. Parying for you Nancey
My personal condolences I worked with Jim on our original strategic plan for St. Leonard in Centerville. I will always remember his warmth and compassion and his friendship. Our plan flourished under his guidance. Thanks Jim and blessings to your family.
Nancy I am so very sorry for the loss. I didn't know Jim was Ill. He was such a nice guy I always likes Jim. May you and your family be Blessed by the Lord. May he rest in peace. GOD BLESS.
Although I met Mr Standish once, I have known Sheri for a few years and call her a dear friend. Sheri always had a special sparkle in her eyes when she spoke of him. Her ways in life are a true tribute to him. I pray God,s peace and love for the family until you all meet again.
Love you.
I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. He was a source of inspiration to me early in my career. I know he will be missed by his friends and family, to whom I offer my condolences.
I was surprised to hear of Jim's passing just yesterday at a conference. Jim and I worked on several senior housing projects, golfed in outings together, and he served as a mentor and advisor for me in my career in CCRC design. I will miss him, and he meant a lot to many of us in the field that had the opportunity to work with him and Third Age, and that considered him a friend. My condolences to his family and friends, Jim was a great guy.
